Russian Imperial Stout - Speyside Whisky Cask-aged 12% ABV 750ml Champagne Bottle

Imperial Russian Stout, so named as it was brewed in 1781 by Barclay Perkins and exported to the court of Catherine the Great, is the world's most iconic beer style. For the last century, the beer has generally been produced once annually, and Paddy – one of our Founders – first brewed a batch for Courage in 1979. Our own 2019 vintage has been produced in Windsor for the first time, but with the same recipe and love. This special edition has been matured in a Speyside Whisky cask to accentuate the elegant sweet, fruity notes in this rich, roasty stout. This amazing beer will continue to develop in the bottle for decades but is brewed to be drunk! Enjoy and savour.
